A word from our parents...

Linda Sue has been my son's daycare provider since he was 7 months old. My son Orlando was born in 2008. I had taken an extended leave of absence due to my father falling ill. During that time, I was desperately looking for a home day care and the provider I had with my first son was not accepting new infants as she was full. I ended up trying another popular place, after 3 days of seeing that my son was just left in the crib and no interaction between the provider and other children while they were sitting in a circle, reading a story, I felt sad for him. So, I pulled him out from there. I started searching again, not having any luck, I turned to my co-workers for referrals and one refered me to Ms.Linda Sue Lythgoe. She said her sons had gone there and she really liked the day care and so did her children.

I called Linda Sue, she allowed me to stop by and see how the day was spent with the children. The day I went to visit, I was really impressed to see that all the children sat together during the lunch time and said their prayers. She allowed the older ones to serve themselves (of course while being supervised). There was a lot of interaction between the older children and the infants, which I thought was awesome. After I left, I felt it in my heart that this was the place. And so the journey began. My son is now 5.5 years old and he has learnt so much. I love that Linda Sue has class time so that children are actually learning as well as doing fun activities, rather than just wtching TV and on Holiday events, Linda Sue goes to the fullest extent. For Easter, the bunny comes out and she hides, I believe, over 300 eggs and the kids have a blast looking for them. For St. Patricks, she has the children hunt for gold coins and have a parade. Summer time, she breaks out the sprinkler and the kids enjoy getting wet (of course, when it is not too hot). For Thanksgiving, she has a special spread for the children, and for Christmas, she has Santa come in with gifts and parents are invited to take part in a potluck dinner.

It has been really nice having Linda Sue as our daycare provider. I was truly blessed to have found her and I will definitely recommend her as a daycare provider.

Being 23 years old and  a single mother, comes with many challenges. Having to work and go to school, means I must put my daughter in a day care. But choosing the right place is the hardest part. I decided to go to a new church one sunday evening , where my daughter and  I happen to run into Linda sue. We had to say hello to women who looked after me for so many years as a child. And so we did, talked for a long while and when my daughter got a little impatient and started to get into trouble, Ms. Linda Sue held her hands, looked her right in the eyes and spoke very calmly to her, and at that moment I knew we had been at the right place at the right time. To be able to send my daughter to an amazing daycare is the best feeling. She learns more and more every day. She uses her manners ,says her prayers. Ms.Linda Sue is a caring and a loving teacher. The children respect her so much, and it is because she gives it to them from the beginning. Everything that I have been teaching my daughter from the time she was a baby, she is not only being taught at home, but also at school and to have somewhere that I feel safe and comfortable to send my child everyday is one of the blessings of the God has given me.

Sending your child to daycare can be scary; atleast it was for me. I didn't know what to look for or how I could feel comfortable leaving my daughter with people I didn't know. My mother sent sent all four of her children to Linda sue and now my sister and I have the opportunity to do the same. I remember as kids we loved going to daycare every day!

In my experiences with the mother goose quacker factory, both as a child and a parent have been nothing but great and rewarding. I would recommend Ms.Linda Sue  and her day care to everyone and anyone who is seeking childcare. The love she has for what she does and the families who attend are remarkable. We are all so blessed to be a part of such an amazing daycare.

My name is Candice.I have known Miss Linda sue ever since I was a  baby. She was the first one to hold me that was out of my family. I love coming back over the summer just to see the kids and spend time with Miss Linda sue and help her out. What I like about coming to Linda sue's place is that we get to do fun things like pudding painting, face painting etc and get to know othe kids. I just love going back because I learn a lot from her and I love her  and she loves me.

Our 6-year-old grandson has gone to the Lythgoe Family Child Care Center since he was 2.5 and it has become his second home. Even though he now attends elementary school, he is always thrilled to know that he will be joining his group of friends during the summer months. The director is the most dedicated, energetic, nurturing woman and teacher you can find. Her children are more than ready to attend Kindergarten when the time comes. There is plenty of structure for the children to feel safe and secure and the meals are amazingly well-balanced. All aspects of a child's needs are met; from toilet training to learning valuable social skills. We have been thrilled with our grandson's time here and, even more important, HE loves it here!

Mothergoose Quacker Factory is an amazing place!  The childcare facility's daily routine allows for constant interaction and learning.  No opportunity for learning is ever wasted, from walks in the neighborhood , circle time, to simple eating.  I visited several daycare places prior to choosing Mothergoose as our daycare provider and I learned early on that this place is the perfect place away from home.  The children are fed home cooked meals, which I have witnessed them devour.   Also, there is no comparison to the benefits gained in a child's early development at this home daycare where they can be nurtured and given classroom instruction.   Before my son turned 2 he was spelling his name and at age 2 he was speaking so well.  For instance, after bathing my son he asks, "Why (are) my feet and hands wrinkled?  I jokingly respond because you are getting old.  He says "No, I am two mom."  (He was also holding us his two fingers showing me he was two).   He is continuously asking questions, all stemming from the learning environment created at Moothergoose.  He has the confidence to ask questions and has a desire to learn so that he may return to daycare and share his experiences with his friends and teachers.  They all encourage it!  There is never a dull moment at this daycare-all holidays are celebrated and again used as a learning experience.  Have you ever seen a one year volunteer to set the table for Thanksgiving lunch and actually do it successfully and proudly? How about a two year old pointing to the infamous sign in the classroom to remind her friends both orally and visually that there is no whining?  Come to Moothergoose Quacker Factory and be AMAZED!
